This is especially true for securing tee times to play the Old Course at St. Andrews, without a doubt arguably the most sought after tee time in the world. And depending on your budget, we have every available resource to secure your time. If we can’t get it, it’s probably not available.
Today for a round of golf on the Old Course a golfer can expect to pay as little as $260 and up to as much as $4,000. It all depends on how your tee time is secured. At Fairways to Heaven Golf it is our job to not only supply our clients with a viable and a cost effective service, but also to provide information that allows the client to make an educated decision in choosing a suitable package to meet their budget.

Advanced Bookings
Guidelines for applications for advanced tee time reservations at St Andrews Links.
Please note that every September, the Links Trust opens up its book for bookings for the coming year for play between the middle of April to the middle of October. Advanced bookings for the 2008 season are now closed.
Applications for the 2009 season will not be open until early September of 2008.
Please find below some useful information and guidelines for completing an application form for an advanced tee time reservation on the Old Course. These guidelines are for groups of two to eight golfers.
For play on the Old Course from 14 April to 19 October 2008 requests are accepted from a lead golfer only on behalf of the group. The maximum number of golfers accepted from one request is eight. Applications from tour operators and commercial concerns will not be accepted.
Ballot (Lottery):
The Old Course is immensely popular, sustaining over 40,000 rounds a year. As a result of this high demand, special conditions apply to bookings. There is a handicap requirement of 24 for men and 36 for ladies. Please bring a valid certificate or card. The Old Course is closed Sundays.
Ballot
Around 50 per cent of all starting times over the year are put into the daily ballot (lottery) that is drawn every day for next day's play. The Saturday draw is for Monday play. View ballot card
Chances vary according to the time of year, how busy the course is and the weather. A minimum two golfers can enter by telephone, 01334 466666, or in person before 2pm on the day before play. Names, home clubs and handicaps are required. The results are shown by 4pm B.S.T. on the St. Andrews Links Trust’s website and at various locations on the Links shops in the town of St. Andrews.
Single Golfers
The most common way for a single to get on the Old Course is by going to the starter as early as possible in the morning. The starter will try to join the golfer with the first available 2 or 3 ball.
Hotel / B&B Trade Times
Due to the fact that the St. Andrews Links Trust operates seven public golf courses on behalf of the town of St. Andrews, each registered hotel or bed & breakfast can qualify for one (1) or two (2) Trade Times per season. A trade time consists of 2 rounds of golf: Old Course and New or Jubilee. The rules state that the hotelier may sell the Trade Time to its guests as a packaged deal combining golf and a minimum of two night accommodations in that property.
Old Course Experience
Since 1998, Fairways to Heaven Golf are proud to continue its partnership with the only company that can “officially guarantee” tee times on the Old Course at St. Andrews - The Old Course Experience. Through their exclusive contract with the
St. Andrews Links Trust, we can secure guaranteed tee-off times on the Old Course on your behalf. Ultimately the worry of failure in the Ballot has been completely removed.
